President, Accountant

Megan Wilson

Megan has been a member of the Alluvial team since 2023, and has taken on the role as President of Custom Professional Accounting in January 2025.

 

Megan brings experience in the financial industry, having most recently served as a wealth associate on our private wealth side, and previously as a personal banker with Fifth Third Bank, while also providing tax preparation services. Megan grew up in the tax industry, assisting her mom with various administrative duties and went on to become a tax preparer herself.

 

Originally from the Cincinnati area, she is a graduate of Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership. At Wright State she played club soccer for two seasons after having attended Miami University of Middletown where she played basketball and softball. In her free time, Megan loves traveling to anywhere there is a beach and sunshine! But most of all, she loves being a mom to her young son, Finn and her 10-year-old son, Joshua.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, Allen, as they said their vows in October of 2023.

Jean Obenour

Jean Obenour is the founder of Custom Professional Accounting, she has helped local families, nonprofits, farmers, and businesses navigate the complexities of tax season for over three decades. Jean's passion for tax work is matched only by her dedication to the community she serves. She credits her business success to the support of Marion's residents, saying, "It's not just about the numbers. It is about the people – my neighbors, my friends, my community." Through her work, she ensures that her clients receive accurate, affordable service, staying up-to-date on IRS regulations to keep them compliant.

As a Marion resident since 1978, Jean has spent much of her life contributing to the growth and success of the area. After earning an accounting degree from Marion Technical College and working in the industry, she decided to start Custom Professional Accounting and has since become known for its experienced and dedicated staff. Beyond her work, Jean is deeply involved in local causes and quietly supports numerous organizations in Marion. Her community involvement continues to make a lasting impact on the area she calls home.

Accountant

Mary Costa, Enrolled Agent

Mary has been in the tax industry for 37 years and counting.  She got her start in the Co-op program, at the University of Dayton, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science, as an accounting major.   She loves her work and enjoys learning about her clients and their businesses, and other business ventures.  Mary had worked with a variety of accounting and tax firms, always as a tax specialist. She enjoys continuing to learn and grow her knowledge base of the tax code. Mary is an Enrolled Agent and a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals  (NATP).

 

Mary raised four children in the Cincinnati area, where she was a resident for almost 30 years. The tax industry was a good fit, that allowed for flexibility while the kids were growing up and very involved in various athletics.

 

More recently, Mary has relocated east of Cincinnati, enjoying lake views from her home office, with her dogs, Lily and Murphy. She is enjoying her promotion to Grandma and spends time reading, with groups in her church and community, and visiting her children and their families!
